This oil painting is the first in a new series that explores the divine feminine archetype and nature. After experimenting with several colour schemes for this series, I settled on this mix of blues, greens and subtle shades of reds, which give the works a haunting quality.

This series of surreal oil paintings explores the embodiment of nature through human and animal forms. These works make full use of negative space and restricted colour schemes to create intriguing and powerful images. The intention is to create symbolic links with the natural world and it's inhabitants, whether human beings or animals, into a unified visual language.
