Statement

"I am expressing an inner state of being, a yearning for other worlds and realities, driven by an exploratory drive.

It is through this innate curiosity that I have developed several methods and techniques for creating artwork in highly individualistic styles.

Themes that intrigue and fascinate me, include metamorphosis, transformation, esotericism and mythology, and how these subjects are relevant to contemporary life.

In recent years I have developed several distinct series of works, all of which utilise different painting methods as I am fascinated in the process that unfolds when using oils as a medium. I am drawn to the expansive expression of landscape, while simultaneously intrigued by the precision of figurative art.

My portfolios of drawings delve into fantastical realms, anthropomorphic characters and symbolism of the natural world, which have been created both in traditional pencil and with a digital pen & tablet. Many of these works have formed the basis for larger scale paintings.
