This series weaves together themes of mythology, science fiction, esoterica and symbolism into old master inspired fantasy dreamscapes.
They hint at something ancient and modern, in a universe where nature integrates with technology, magic and anthropomorphic forms, creating modern allegories to be deciphered.
I hope to invoke through these symbolic pieces, certain concepts and ideas that provoke discussion among the viewer.
Drawing inspiration from the renaissance and baroque periods the method used requires an underpainting in earth tones with translucent layers of oils to build the overall colour scheme.
