ARTWORK STATEMENT
In this work we enter a surreal realm where a Pan-like deity reclines overlooking a shifting landscape. This figure, embodying the beauty and sorrow of nature, gazes upon the remnants of lost civilizations. His presence stirs nostalgia for the once-thriving worlds he oversaw. The narrative explores memory, loss, and the cyclical nature of existence, prompting reflection on life's fragility and nature's enduring power.
Ultimately, it serves as a poignant reminder of the beauty and melancholy intertwined in history, encouraging us to cherish life's fleeting moments.
“AUGURY” SERIES STATEMENT
This series weaves together themes of mythology, science fiction, esoterica and symbolism into old master inspired fantasy dreamscapes.
They hint at something ancient and modern, in a universe where nature integrates with technology, magic and anthropomorphic forms, creating modern allegories to be deciphered.
I hope to invoke through these works, certain concepts and ideas that provoke discussion among the viewer, including the symbolic representation of the human inter connectedness with nature, technology and spirituality.
