The Measured drawing technique:
Learn how to accurately measure and plan your drawing from the beginning to end, build form and add details through various shading techniques.
During the workshop you will learn:
Introduction to the different types of pencils and what they do
Sketching or drawing ? - what is the difference ?
Drawing some simple shapes and shading techniques
Drawing some simple geometric shapes and shading techniques
Some basic methods for making measurements
Exercise in drawing and shading the planes of the head
Some example methods for drawing the head
Measuring the figure from sculptural cast photos
Quick sketches for a series of portraits or sculptural cast (from a pre selection of photos)
A long drawing of a portrait or sculptural cast (from a pre selection of photos)
